I am an underpaid and overworked mother of 4 kids. It’s never easy to ask for help, but I’m reaching out to you on behalf of my 2 youngest sons. Over the last 6 months, they dealt with numerous setbacks and familial loss, as a result, I am reaching out to ask for Holiday gift assistance.
Even before COVID-19 hit our communities, our family was struggling with a crisis in the cost of living in our state due to the uneven economic recovery from the Great Recession and deepening income inequality.
Around June 2022, our family began the unfortunate transition of their Parental Grandmother. Due to her living in New Jersey, their father left to support the care of his mother. Having to support his mother, their father was unable to retain his employment. The anticipated care was for the weekend, allowing her time to recover but God had other plans and she was unable to recover.
Between the month of June 2022 and September 2022, our family traveled between New Jersey and Maryland roughly nine times.
Currently, money is strapped trying to recoup the travel expenses, funeral, and unemployment so any donations would greatly be appreciated for my (2) boys. Regrettably, there was no life insurance to cover the expenses of our Matriarch.
